This book is about the author's first section hike on the Appalachian Trail with his son Matthew, in 2008. It provides a brief family history, then information about the Appalachian Trail. It talks about the process of preparing for the hike, the gear needed and much more. A trail journal describes each day of the hike itself with all of its little adventures. Finally and most important, the book compares hiking with our everyday Christian Walk, trying to draw people closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
