Harley Topper is a young boy full of curiosity and mischief. His good friend, Mrs. Darnackle lives across the street. They share a strong bond similar to other young boys and their grandmothers, playing cards together and spending beautiful warm days in the garden. But one day Harley notices that Mrs. Darnackle isn't her usual self. She's changing and Harley doesn't like it. Through her illness, Harley rises to the occasion and tries to boost Mrs. Darnackle's spirit the best way he knows how. He puts his artistic talents to work and replants Mrs. Darnackle's beloved daisy garden with the help of some scissors, glue and construction paper.

I am a wife and mother of two beautiful girls who is currently working as an educator. I have been obsessed with writing and anything related to books for as long as I can remember. One of my most favorite things to do is to read stories aloud to whomever is willing to sit and listen. I try to pass on my love of the written word to my daughters and my students and to recognize the importance of imagination and daydreaming. Writing allows me to escape into worlds unknown and to bring life to characters of all kinds. There is nothing in this world I would rather do than write.
