Chaz and Ray Brown started Whacky magazine when they were small boys in Poughkeepsie New York, using nothing but Bond paper and Bic pens. It was made up as they drew and wrote it, and the characters and stories developed over an eight year whirlwind of creativity. In the 1990's, now apparently adults, they gave it another shot, this time injecting a bit of maturity into it all.
This then, is the last gasp, colorizing it all with Photoshop, and compiling some of the best into one final(hopefully) anthology.
Enjoy!
Oh, the bio thing---Ray Brown was a high school English Lit teacher in Cerritos, CA, and is recently retired. Chaz Brown was an art director and illustrator in CA and Portland, OR, and probably can never afford to retire. So buy this magazine already, contribute to the fund, send this boy to Hawaii!
