Patty Binder is a primary school teacher at Holcomb Elementary School, Clackamas, OR.

The Season Tree was inspired by her students.

Rosalie Whitney Carpenter was a teacher of the visually impaired for many years

at Portland Public Schools. She now spends her time painting and practicing yoga.
