The Second World War is near its end, Germany and Italy have surrendered, leaving only Japan to fight for the Axis. The American`s island-hopping has driven the Japanese to only a handful of homeland islands. But, before the Americans can push forwards to Okinawa and Tokyo, they must first take the eight square mile island of Iwo Jima.
