The festive, noisy town of Misty Medows holds a secret.

Vicky Lanson has the perfect life working as a removalist in the city and dancing with her charming boyfriend, Raphale Minsting.

However, when she finds a silver dagger in her cellar, she begins to realise that things are not quite as they seem in the Lanson family.

A body drained of blood leaves Vicky with some startling questions about her past, and she sets off to dark Misty Medows to find some answers.

At first the people of Misty Medows are smart and slender. She is intrigued by the curiously nice stable cleaning, Alec Drowsing. However, after he introduces her to hard blood, Vicky slowly finds herself drawn into a web of bodies drained of blood, bodies stripped to pieces and perhaps, even Vampires?.
