Barton Aikman's imaginative endeavors began with aspirations of becoming a filmmaker. During his pursuit, his short story, “Button Masher,” was selected to be published in College of the Canyons’ literary journal, Cul-De-Sac. Aikman then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in the Film Production Option of Cinema and Television Arts. While obtaining his degree, Aikman was able to bring many concepts to fruition, one of which being “Jake’s First Time Machine,” a short film he wrote and directed. Although Aikman successfully explored artistic mediums, he found his true passion to be creative writing. His commitment and talent is clear in this first collection.
