The delicate spirit of life that weaves itself into every dream, moment, breath, and sound. That music and timeless dance is a bit of what poetry is to me: an expression of my soul & an awakening of the movement within me. It is an art, a voice that often startles me...but always soothes and becomes more real with grace and clarity.
If my pencil were a pick or a brush, and the paper was a block of ice, piece of clay, or canvas, I know that poetry would be the unveiling of an exquisite sculpture; my words the dramatic and mysterious face forming under the colors of brush and oil painting.
