Have you ever imagined living on a remote island, with a few families in one small village, all watching out for each other? For Vincent, this is everyday life, and the only life he has ever known. He lives in a village with nine other families, in a hut with his older brother and his father. What will happen when one member of this close-knit family goes missing on what should be a day- long trip? The answer might be found not on land, but in the depths of the foaming, green sea.

Cheyenne U. is an eighth-grader living in Northern California. She enjoys writing, reading, the performing arts, and improvisational theatre. This is her first book, but she has written many short stories for people of all ages and enjoys writing historical narratives.
