Beth Gibb was born and raised in Western Australia. Most of her early life was spent in rural areas to the north and east of the capital city Perth. She became a teacher, and taught primary school levels in country Western Australia as well as Vanuatu. She has now retired and living in Perth caring for her elderly father.
