Through the promotion of the practice of the Lectio Divina, the author of the present book had the opportunity to visit many parishes in New York City, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and different states, like Florida, Milwaukee, California, and Texas. The experiences obtained from all of these workshops within the different parishes and leaders of the local Catholic churches, helped to develop and shape this printed workshop material for Lectio Divina over the last six years. The particularity of this work consists in the presentation of the material through visual aids. The information is conveyed and summarized in such a way that the book becomes an illustrated presentation organized in colored slides for

Dempsey Rosales Acosta, born in Maracaibo (Venezuela) obtained his Master in Humanities and Pedagogy from the Catholic University Cecilio Acosta (Venezuela), his Baccalaureatus in Theology (S.T.B.) from the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome), his Licenciate in Biblical Sciences (S.L.L.) from the Pontifical Biblicum Institute (Rome), and his Doctorate in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome). Since 2008 he is a peritus, consultant, and collaborator of the Presidential Liaison: Roman Catholic Ministries of the American Bible Society (New York) and since 2010, he is a full time faculty member of the Theology Department and the School of Faith and Culture at the University of St. Thomas (Houston, TX).
