This book is about an African American girl who was raised in the early seventies. Thought her childhood she experienced many forms of abuse starting as early as six years old when she was sexually abused by a very important member of her family. Since that horrible act against her she suffered low self esteem, self doubt and confusion which turned into anger which ultimately started her down a horrible road of destruction. Her struggle to survive provided to be possible as she revealed the many faces of abuse she endured thought-out her life time. They say only the strong survive and this story is a testament to that.
