While I was growing up I enjoyed watching my mother cook. Through her teaching I learned to love cooking. I remember the very first meal I ever prepared myself, it was in the beginning of 1993 I was twelve years old and I made Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy and Corn (mom helped with the gravy). I was so proud of myself. The older I got the more I loved cooking. Eventually I started collecting the recipes I wanted to try, then moved on to making my own. Over the years I got better and better at cooking. Eventually I started making holiday dinners myself which I enjoy a lot. Friends and family were always asking for something I would make and I got a reputation as a good cook. I have handwritten my cook book several times never fully satisfied on how it turned out, so that led me to finally getting it actually published.
