About Author
For several years, Lee-Ann Mitchell has worked professionally as a Learner Support Officer in primary schools. She has also served as a Director and Educational Leader for outside school hours care services, supporting primary school-aged children. Additionally, Lee-Ann has experience in early childhood care, working with children with various developmental needs and providing necessary support.
Outside of her professional life, Lee-Ann's passion lies with her own family. She lives on the far South Coast of NSW in a town called Bermagui with her partner Andrew and their children, Michael and Luke, who are both on the autism spectrum, a diagnosis they received before the term "neurodivergent" became common. Diagnosed under the age of four, both Michael and Luke navigate life with autism, and together, as a family, they embrace what it means to live in a home with two autistic children. This book shares a glimpse into their world and what life is like for them together.
