Urban Wilderness PROJECTâ„¢ develops curriculum and workshops for a changing society. By combining experiential-learning with the arts, participants move through the intersection of environmental health, social justice, culture and the natural world.
Jia Min Wu is from China. She spent the summer learning about healthy waterways and healthy bodies with Blue Corps, a program of Urban Wilderness Project. This is her first book. She has been learning to speak English for the last year. She is a high school student in Seattle.
Jourdan Keith is the Founder and Director of Urban Wilderness Project because she believes that connecting to the natural world is critical to restoring communities, reducing domestic violence, building relationships, and acknowledging and healing historical injustices. She is the leader for Blue Corps.
