This book is about a boy named Patrick who finds a duck in his stocking, and names him Pebbles. And, then, all of a sudden, his duck (Pebbles), gets scared, when "Pop" opens the bedroom door. So, he runs away. Patrick is sad, until Pebbles comes back and all is well in Patrick's house, on Christmas Day.
