During recent visits to my birthplace of Booby Point, Spot Bay and Boggy Sand, the eastern most community on the tiny island of Cayman Brac, I was disheartened by the demise of many of the businesses and the deterioration of many of the older homes. The area West of Booby Point was once the most populous district on the island. I missed the old residents who were unbelievably innovative and industrious, who are now only a few generations away from being totally forgotten.
This book is a tribute to those vibrant people who no longer have a voice and to present and future generations who will hopefully continue to reinvigorate my beloved community “West of Booby Point”.
