This book is about an eight-year-old third grade girl named Emma Danielson. She wants to get a cell phone, her ears pierced, her own pet dog, babysitting alone, and stay home by herself. But Heather and Robert Danielson said she has to wait till she turns twelve in July and goes to seventh grade. When Emma's twelve birthday finally arrives, Emma is going to get whatever she wants to get.
