It was only after becoming a registered nurse that I realized hw much i missed writing. While going through a divorce, and other personal tragedies, I was placed on leave from work. My doctor advised me to find something to occupy my time. I had been talking about finishing a story for years, but never found the time. Now, I had the time to fulfill my passion. And thus, my first novel was written, "When I thought I was Tough." Finishing that has given me the determintaion to move on to my next project...but first, I publish this book to add to my shelf.

Messages from the author:

Please watch the book trailer to my new book coming this Spring 2012. Copy and paste link to YouTube. Hope you enjoy.

The numbers are still increasing. Hooray! Please leave your feedback, it helps me grow. And as of today it looks hopeful for an April release of my new book, Be Still. I am so excited, but I remember my start was here, at Bookemon.

I am so happy to see the numbers continue to rise in the "reads" and "likes" section. Remember, this is my first book, and I now know where the flaws are, but because the hard drive crashed, I can not make revisions and I have no copy of the file. Thank you for reading and keep sending those comments. I look forward to reading them. New book by May? (fingers crossed).

I'v read this book maybe a couple years ago and it just warmed my heart I loved it so much. When I read it though I thought it wasn't complete but hadn't been worked on in a while I was so sad but now I see that it was actually finished which makes me want to cry at a loss of more of this amazing story to read. I can't often read a story more than once because I always know what's going to happen next but I have to say this is one of the few that I could read over and over again.

This book is really good. It hooked me from the very beginning and never let go. "When I Thought I Was Tough" has a perfect combination of elements, emotions, and tells the story of a girl who left a guy as he sought to find his dream...that's what I've gotten so far, anyway. Great job! You're an amazing writer and I hope that you'll continue to write fascinating stories like this one.

Kindest regards,

♥DarkWolfAngel♥

Bunny & Gumby,
Thank you for your fabulous comments. I'm happy to see people are still reading my book on here. I still tell people to come read my first book and see where it started. And Gumby, I will be at The Mall of Victor Valley on June 30th for a book signing, so bring your book on over and say hello. I'll also be holding a raffle and you get to enter twice if you bring a friend with you.
Thank you again. I'm always excited to know people like what I have to write.

I checked out your website and I read your description for, "Be Stil." I also watched the trailer which I also enjoyed. I like the cover of your book, "Be Still", I thought it was very beautiful and exquisite. I will be following your new book and others you may create in the future! :)

Thank you very much. I'm always delighted to hear that people like what I wrote, and I will definitely keep writing. My new book, "Be Still," came out Thursday on Iuniverse. If you liked this book then you will love the new one, it has love, hate, betrayal, death, life, and a world caught between life and death with the same emotional rollercoaster as, "When I Thought I Was Tough." My website is www.BeStillNovel.com and has the book trailer. Thank you again, and when I get on my regular computer I will look at your page.

Thank you. My boyfriend was very frustrated with Gracie, also. He kept saying she was so subborn, but that's what I loved about her. And I think in every story I have thought up it has been my male characters that are the strong ones. Thank you for reading. And next book will be out soon. Appreciate your feedback

Wow, thank you so much. I will have a book coming out this year, it's being edited right now. Except, this time I went a different route and went through indie publishing, so the book will be online at barnes and noble or amazon and downloadable for e-readers. I see you are in So Cal, I'm in the desert but learned to surf down in La Jolla and sepnt a few years surfing down in Huntington, and once at Old Man's. I'm not great, not even good, but I love surfing. It is so freeing. When I get on my full online version later, I will check out your collection of books. Thanks for the review.

My new book, Be Still, will be published through a independent publishing firm. I'll post more information when I know more, but should be released in March. Since I lost, "When I Thought I Was," on my external harddrive. I will not revise it. It'll forever be a rough edition. Thank you everyone for reading and please follow me at my website www.tanialramos.com

Noelle; glad someone is waiting for my new book. ;-) Unfortunately, i just found out my recovery will cost $1300. just too expensive to pay. Back to the drawing board...or writing room, lol. Gona have to sit and rewrite the first 11 chapters. I'm bummed because I'm already 3 chapters into my third book. Oh well, so is life. I'll start my rewrite tonight but still anticipate being done by mid-november and having it out by end of november. It's pretty awesome if I say so myself. Looking forward to your feedback and your novel. Let me know when it is done.

I'd like to thank everyone who rallied for me and voted. We ran across the Inland Empire colecting votes at various locations and came in second in votes. Unfortunately, we did not win the staff votes, but it was still a great victory for me and I was able to get a lot of PR done regarding the book. Thank you who all voted. M second book, Be Still, is now complete but I'm still waiting on my hard drive recovery. If all goes well, my new novel will be out by Mid-November. Keep an eye out.

Just donated this book to my school library (Oak Hills High School), which is the city this book is based in. Go Class of 2012. If you live in Oak Hills, Hesperia, or Victorville, you gotta read this and see how many places she mentions that you can figure out (no proper names were given...only hints). Can't wait for the Zombie vs Aliens book you talk about on your website.

The best tear jerker ever!!!! Most inpiring book i've ever read. Wished there was more. Every chapter makes you HAVE to read the next. And love how real places in Oak Hills, CA were incorporated into this story.

Thank you hdsurf. I received a very nice letter from an inmate there who said he had never read anything cover to cover before, but couldn't put down my book until he knew what happened to the characters. That was nice to hear. Your son also gave me some wonderful feedback and encouraged me to keep writing. He says he will continue to pass my book around. I'm so glad that they think this book is good enough to be passed around and shared.

When I thought I was tough was sent to my son at West Valley Detention Center he said he couldn't put it down he read page after page. He said it was a very good book. He loaned it to other inmates who also read it and said this was a great book. So good they wrote to the author to let her know they enjoyed reading her book and hoped she would write another one.

Because I operate in the stone age, I wrote everything in Microsoft Wordprocessor first. When I was ready to publish I saved it all in Word 2007 format (bookemon compatible), then unploaded from that format. I ran into a problem with the actual soft cover book, because I didn't correctly format the pages, the print in the book is extremely tiny. My suggestion for a good format is one inch margins all the way around and 16 font. My other suggestion is find the size book you like (mine was Nicholas Sparks, The Last Song), and write an entire page from it onto your computer program (ie; Word) then format the page to match the book. This will give you a nice size font and spacing when you go to publish a hard copy. If you ever have any questions email me, i'd love to help, and can't wait to read. Oh yeah, and from a horrible lesson I learned today...ALWAYS have 2 copies saved. My external drive crashed and lost 11 chapters of my newest book. I cried. It's horrible to start over. Back up your work. And again, please feel free to contact me with questions or advice. Besides...I could always use advice too from a fellow writer.

Thank you Noelle. I'm thrilled at the fact that I could inspire someone to write. This has been my life long dream and accomplishment. When you finish your writing please send it my way. I love reading, but I love reading new author's the most. Good luck and thank you so much for the great message. I'm definitely inspired to write more.

I loved reading this and although I don't exactly know you except for your biography note, you've inspired me to write more. This story was amazingly written-hopefully you get it published and on a best-seller list someday. Thank you for writing a heart-warming, enjoyable story I will definitely re-read...
