This book is dedicated to all of my great nieces, nephews and future grandchildren but especially to Rachael who loves “When I Was Little Stories” and to Miya and Jeremiah who I hope will too.

Carole Jean Simonini Lisson was born in 1952 in Elmhurst, IL. The 5th of 7 children in an Irish, Italian Catholic family, she is a teacher by profession and by passion. Carole loves to learn and loves to teach. She now resides in Glen Ellyn with her husband Dave and has the joy of watching her own, now grown children, teach, guide and parent other children in the way they should go.
