This book is dedicated to all of my great nieces, nephews and future grandchildren, but especially to Rachael, who loves “When I Was Little” stories. And to Miya and Jeremiah, I hope you will too one day.

Carole Jean Simonini Lisson was born in 1952 in Elmhurst, IL. The fifth of seventh children in an Irish-Italian, Catholic family, she is a teacher by profession and by passion. Carole loves to learn and loves to teach. She now resides in Glen Ellyn with her husband Dave and has the joy of watching her own adult children teach, guide and parent children of the next generation.
