About the Book

This book is meant to help kids understand why they don't live with their real parents. Today's children can be living with 2 mommies, 2 daddies , aunts, uncles, and grandparents. When there is a custody battle it can be very confusing and unsettling for children. My hope in writing this book is to help kids better understand what's going on. This is their life and no-one asks their opinion. Children ages 4-8 are very smart and curious. This book is aimed at this age range. They have a lot of questions and feelings. I hope this helps them to better understand what's going on in their lives.

I am a 48 year old mom and grandparent. I decided to go back to school to finish my psychology degree, It's always been a passion of mine to work as an addiction counselor. Around this same time my daughter had gotten her self into some legal trouble. She had just had a baby, Aiden. He was 6 months old when she went to prison for drugs. We had raised Aiden for 5 years until his father decided to become a larger part of his life. @ weeks after aiden Started Kindergarden we were served with cusotdy papaers. !7 weeks of not seeing a child we had raised as our own. After 3 years and lots of drama. We now are locked into everyother weekend and everyother holiday. These laws need to be changed of for nothong else the children that are involved
