this book is based off of 2 teens who meet during ww2. The year is 1942 in Lubeck on march 28th when the RAF bombed them in the middle of the night. A teen named Mia who is 15 hides a boy Elias 14 in there basement near a consentration camp. Fear comes when one night her mother goes into the celluar looking for something. what she finds she will never be able to tell anyone or let them find out, especially her husband Noah who works for the Nazi. they both keep the little boy safealong with her other kids. No one ever knew how serous and hard it would be to keep one child alive while acting like Jews were the bad ones to evryone else.
