While You Were Not Looking follows Mia Bloom, a phone-obsessed teenager who is so glued to her screen that she misses a series of magical, hilarious events happening all around her—a dancing moose parade, a grandma ninja battle, alien donut rescuers, scooter-racing penguins, and even a bubblegum time-warp tornado. Only when all the wild scenes swirl together in front of her does Mia finally look up and realize what she’s been missing. By the end, she learns to put her phone down and notice the wonder in the world around her.
