Gunny sack masks, armed robbers, and the kidnapping of deputy treasurer Francisco Baca is the backdrop of this true crime story. You will read firsthand testimonies of the individuals who witnessed the fearful night of December 27, 1885. Ike Clanton and his gang are then accused as the gun toting, mask wearing kidnappers who get away with over $11,000. However, Ike Clanton will not go down easy and the story takes a sudden turn into an unlikely story of lies and deception.

I remember the exact homework assignment that sparked a genuine love for genealogy research in my life..."Family History Week".

I was given one week to interview as many family members needed to discover my heritage and write the results in a 10 page book report for a grade. Well, I gathered my portable cassette recorder with its handheld microphone, paper, pencil and hit the family trail. I soon discovered that with each family member there was a story that took me years into the past. I heard many amusing stories and details of people and places I had never heard of. This process was the catalyst into a life long hobby of genealogical research...and I see no end in sight.
