About the Book
These poems were written over the past several years. Although I am a lover of words and poetry; I am not a poet. I write two or three poems a year as I teach poetry. It is not fair of me to expect my students to produce great poetry if I myself am not willing to do the same.

About Author
My name is ShoShauna McCoy-Hill. I am a high school English teacher. I am so fortunate to be doing what I love to do. I wanted to be a teacher since I was in 4th grade. I had a teacher who was so good at what she did that she inspired me to teach. Along the way it was my teachers who saved my life and my education; by loving me and guiding me in the right direction.
At some point I started listening to those who said teaching does not pay enough. The students do not listen. It is a thankless job. So I spent too many years making money but feeling empty and broke.
The "Word of God Spoke" and it lead me to my true destiny.
