About Author
Born in Philidelphia,PA in 1942. Moved to Colonial Williamsburg, VA at age 5 and enjoyed the inspiration of living right in the heart of the historic Colonial Capitol. I was inspired by the colors of the flowers in the gardens, most of all the daffodils and tulips in the Spring. Mom took me to flower shows all of which enhanced my love of color.I was inspired too by the architectural strength of the Georgin Style buildings in the restored area.
I attended Walsingham Academy which prepared me for cuccess in my later academic endevors. We moved to Southwest Virginia to Marion, VA for the beginning of my High School years, later to Staunton, Va. then finishing High School in Lynchburg, VA.
Inspired by Art and Poetry I decided to study Fine Arts at the Richmond Professional Institute of the College of William and Mary where I earned my degrees of a BFA and MFA in 1966. I began teaching at York College of PA and after 2 years I began working on my Ph.D. at Penn State.
