About the Book

Julian Hamilton was 23 years old when he left a small fishing village near Atlantic, NC, to fight for his country. Germany had threaten to give Texas and other Hispanics leaning states back to Mexico if Germany won the war. Americans like Julian Hamilton loved his American and he was willing to die for it. However, like many the soldiers fighting in the War, the harsh reality of warfare became a reality too soon for this young man. Fellow soldiers were gassed by the Germans. Reports state over 2,000 soldiers were sent back home because of the Mustard Gas. Another 500 did not make it home. The news coming back to his family was not good. In an effort to comfort his family, Julian wrote the following letters to try to bring sense to this war and comfort his family and others. Julian found part of his peace in this War in a small french village, Bissey La Pierre. Come walk with Julian as he walks through time.
