Aspasia Alexiou, YaiYai, to those who love her, began selling pastries at festivals and fairs in order to help her son, Solon pay his tuition at Ohio State University's Dental school. She continued to make pastries for another 20 years!

Dicki Alexiou, married Solon Alexiou while he was in dental school. She watched and learned from Yaiyai the following recipes. At multiple requests from YaiYai's grandchildren Dicki decided to create this cookbook.
