About Author
Jessica Solomon was born in 1981 in the USA. Her high school degree was earned in a homeschool setting. Married at 18, family quickly became an all consuming priority in her life. Continuing her personal informal education as a mother led to her discovery of personally empowering motherhood choices, like home birth, breastfeeding advocacy, and social support networks for busy mothers. That was all well and good... until the haters came along and posted abusively, revealing the dark side of mothering advocacy. As a result she personally withdrew into isolation from her peer group and advocacy passion, to protect the treasured emotional environment she was fostering for her children.
At the same time, the family began dumping massive amounts of time and energy into teenage social and travel adventure ambitions. This was a stressful, albeit rewarding situation. It forced the her inner muse to the surface as she began writing poetry prolifically to soothe and feed her mind. Poetry without support is a special torture. So she joined deepundergroundpoetry.com and discovered the writing giants residing there. Suddenly poetry was a protected, exciting adventure!
The value in her poetry is the life experience that produces it.
Somehow that turned into story telling in play format. From there the first novel of what hopefully will be many more appeared. Jessica has been married for over 20 years and has 10 children and counting. She has also written a few songs, recipes and invented a couple of quilt designs. Expect more zany and creative materials from this author in the near future.
