I am a native of Cupertino, California and grew up in one of the original flat top houses in a valley that was at that time a rich paradise full of orchards exploding with blossoms and fruit.

I started out in a simple time but experienced an evolution of the land and of American society on a parallel stage. My book Climbing Trees is a journey into a mind that lived that change.

I now live in Bend, Oregon with my husband Ralph and our little dog Benji.
