Alicia Jennings grew up in southeast Iowa with her mother-Jennifer, Father-Kurt, brother-Justin, and sisters-Megan and Bailey. She enjoyed dancing, cheerleading, and hanging out with friends and family. In her teenage years, she enjoyed babysitting and teaching gymnastics. Through those experiences, she decided she wanted to become a teacher.

She now attends William Penn University where she is a freshman. She continues to teach gymnastics while taking classes full time. She plans to graduate in four years with her teaching license and endorsements in special education and coaching.

She is making this book to use in her classroom when she becomes a special education teacher. She wants children to use this alphabet book and realize that everyone is different-and that’s okay! Sometimes, a person won’t know another person has a disease because it’s not noticeable. No matter how “different” a person is, it’s important to treat them equally and respect them.
