I was born on October 13, 1947. My parents were Leopoldo and Maria EnGracia Melendez Hernendez. I'm a Texan that came to Michigan, met and married a young man from Lapeer. Ron and I met in March of 1967 and he ask me to marry him around July. We were married on October 14th, 1967. We have two grown children and five grand-children. Thanks to my grand-daughter Madison Lee, the reality to publish a book with all the poems I have written over the years is coming to be.
