Gudrun Quinlan was born in Viersen, Germany, and moved to Vermont in 1995. Watching her kids grow up way too quickly inspired her to write about them as well as their road and hiking trips, mostly in the White Mountains of New Hampshire as well as the Adirondacks in New York.
