Kimberly was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is the daughter of Melvin Winins a private investigator and Lydia Colvon a secretary. She also has four sisters, Dwana Winins Frank, Tamecia Rene Brown, Brittany Winins and Melinda Christina Foy and two brothers Melvin Winins, Jr. and Brandon Winins. She is the mother of three, Brandy Harrell, Garrett Harrell, Jr. and Gabrielle Harrell.
