Melissa Y. Sawyer lives in Dover, Delaware with her son, mother, and father. She adopted her 17 year old son, Garzell, when he was 18 months old. She has raised him as a single parent. She is a veteran of the United States Air Force. She has lived in Dover for nine years. Her place of birth is Portsmouth, Virginia. She loves writing, teaching, and enjoying the wonders of life. She has three dogs and is an avid supporter of animal rights. She has an Bachelor of Science Engineering degree, a Master of Arts Social Psychology degree, and is a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. She loves children and is currently working on obtaining her Master of Education at Wilmington, University. This is her first book publication which is dedicated to the son she loves dearly.
