Poetic Wear was formed in 1999 by the owner Sandra J. Edwards who was inspired by the death of a childhood friend to write poetry ; she decided to place her poems on t-shirts, wares and other apparel as a different way of publishing her poems. One of her poems "Little Sis" was created when she received a publishing advertisement in the mail that provided pictures as possible story scenarios. One of the pictures, displayed an older boy with a bratty younger girl holding a fishing pole with fish attached (the boys pole had none); this then become the inspiration for her poetic children's book "Little Sis" . It's a great lesson in sibling rivalry.
