Hi, I'm Lynne. I was born and brought up,along with my two big brothers, in the small market town of Pontefract in West Yorkshire by loving , wonderful parents. I had a very happy childhood and I look back with fondness and lovely memories. Like the time Dad was being dragged along the seafront by the then family dog, Rex or the time I took my border collie Bobby to school with me and hid him under my desk, until the teacher caught me!! Then there were the walks home from school where my imagination would see magic in every bumble bee and butterfly.

I was an avid reader from an early age and my mother would sometimes catch me reading under my bedcovers with a torch! Mum always made sure that I had the latest book to read I was fanatical about Enid Blytons books, particularly The Faraway Tree and The Magical Wishing Chair series of books. I would read them and be transported to the magical places she would describe. I didn't hear or see anyone when I was reading her stories..
