A native Mississippian, Peggy began cooking at a very early age. Her mother was a very good cook, but when Peggy's high school Home Economics assignment was to plan and prepare all the meals for a week for her family, this is when she really became creative - feeding her family dishes that were out of the ordinary in her home. All passed with flying colors and she continues to enjoy entertaining. She has attended cooking school in Italy and an artisan bread school in Wisconsin. Still, her favorite dishes are the ones printed in this book - a special gift for my boys - Phillip and Patrick.
