Marlyn Buehler was born in 1925 in Kansas and as a young child moved with her parents to San Pedro, California. She met her husband, William Buehler, in junior high school. They dated in high school, became engaged soon after and married in 1945. A year after they were married, Marlyn gave birth to their first daughter, Susan. In all, they had six children. Her life was devoted to being a wife and mother but she loved teaching bible studies in her church, writing and speaking. An amazing cook, she hosted many college, family and friend gatherings. Her life was centered around their faith and fellowship in the Lord. Marlyn was always willing to follow the call of the Lord in her husband, Bill's life. This includ moving a family of six young children to Basel, Switzerland so that Bill could obtain his PhD of Theology.
