Jackie L. West lives in the Rio Grande valley of central New Mexico. She is a proud mother. She has been blessed to be a mom to several children along the way. One such wonderful child was John, whom was known as J.C. in the family J.C. West's life was cut short on Memorial Day Weekend of 2011 when the car he was in was hit by a drunk driver. He was 23. J.C. was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He grew up in New Mexico and in Oklahoma. J.C. wrote stories when he was young, and this one we share in his memory. J.C. was a 5th grader at La Merced Elementary School in Belen, New Mexico when he wrote this story.
