Mike Higgins was a two-time 5A all-state basketball player in Utah and continued his basketball career at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He graduated from the Academy with a bachelor's degree in Political Science in 2006 and served for 6 years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy. He earned a master's degree in International Studies at the University of Oklahoma in 2014. He relishes the unique opportunity to be a stay-at-home dad.
