The Van Pels' joined the company in 1938. Anne received Kitty in 1942. The Franks went into hiding in 1942 and the Van Pels' joined a week later. Anne fell in love with Peter in 1944. The Secret Annex was betrayed on August 4, 1944. They were held in a prison until August 8, 1944. They were sent to Westerbork.
