Nina Slota, Ph.D. was diagnosed with Crohn's at age 9. She earned her Ph.D. from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in research developmental psychology with a concentration in health psychology. Since 1999, she has taught disability studies and many other undergraduate and graduate courses.
