This is the story of color cats, who haven’t yet learned that our differences are what make us wonderful. As they start out on their adventure, their world is drab and colorless, because they refuse to let those who are different into their lives. They accidentally happen upon each other and are angry at seeing cats of other colors. Soon they notice that as they learn love and acceptance, the world becomes a more colorful, beautiful place.
Children will learn about diversity, acceptance, love and kindness through a fun and child-friendly story written in rhyme with beautiful illustrations. Along the way there are opportunities to learn new vocabulary as well as color-mixing concepts.
As an early childhood educator of 30 years, with a BS in elementary education and a MA in early childhood education and children's literature, I have found that there is a need for children's books that teach these concepts in a context that is understandable and engaging to a child.

I am an early childhood educator of 30 years, with a BS in elementary education and a MA in early childhood education and children's literature. I have found that there is a need for children's books that teach concepts in a context that is understandable and engaging to a child. Throughout the years, I have created many books to use with my students and I have decided to share them with the public.
