About Author
James Vance Mackey, Jr. is a loving father and grandfather. He has been married for fifty-five years. He has a daughter, Adrienne, and a son, James Mackey, III. He also has six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He graduated from Mississippi State with a degree in agriculture engineering. He was in the army reserves while in school. He is a member of the Nights of Columbus. He enjoys many hobbies including woodworking, golf, metal detecting, bird watching, and hunting. He also enjoyed flying airplanes. While writing this book, he cleared out a spot of land on Bayou Plaquemine where he sat in a chair and wrote out this book. The chair still sits there to this day.
