The book is based on a young african american women that is entering into womenhhood with so much baggage and disaters from teenager years.she suffers from abuse,then being homeless,then its goes the the climax were she is doing anything for money to know she feels like she would do what ever to survive at this point.then she get a taste of reality she goes to jail and you know she become homeless agin the she is introduce to herself again she starts to pick up the pieces only find out your past catches up with you it its harder the second time around.
