This idea came to me through the President of our school, President Mike Avery. He called me in the Spring semester of 2011 and said he had a job for me. He wanted me to find as many as words that were popular for my generation (cool, sweet, etc.) as i could in the space of about three hours. In that time I found (through some help from fellow students) forty words that I liked enough to give him. When I gave them to him he kept saying "what does that mean?" or just "WHAT!" after giving him the list he mentioned a few times that I could/should make a dictionary to explain the lingo I was giving him. I ignored the idea at first but later I thought what a great idea it would be to surprise him with this gift of a dictionary made with the help of the student body. So I passed out several sheets of paper with explicit directions about what I needed to complete this project. As a result of their help I have completed this little surprise gift in honor of our beloved President.
