Chekena Jones was born in August of 1974. She grew up in the small town of Lake Alfred Florida. She was raised in a single parent home with her mother and 5 brothers. At a very young age she found herself wanting to participate in football games and wrestling matches but was always told to just sit down and watch instead. Well since girls obviously weren't allowed to play with the boys she spent a lot of time alone, daydreaming, and at the age of 11 she started writing short stories.
"I love being able to touch people's hearts and lives by sharing a part of my own. As I've grown, I realize that my writing isn't just a hobby or a talent that I developed out of being bored as a child, but a God given gift that I should share with the world.
