Anytime Grandma cooked for the family, it was delicious. It didn't matter what she made; it always seemed as if she just knew what the right ingredients were and never needed to consult a book or the internet. And I always assumed that she didn't follow any set recipe when she cooked. That's only partially true. Grandma Parasmo did indeed keep notes of her favorite recipes. Throughout the years, she jotted down the ingredients for her favorite recipes in a marble black and white notebook. She also collected clippings from books, magazines, and newspapers that contained interesting recipes. This book is a true and accurate transcription of those handwritten recipes and the collection of clippings found in her notebook. There has been no editing or modifications.

The authors are the loving grandchildren of Salvatore and Grace Parasmo. The inspiration for creating this book was Grandma's love of family, tradition and food and the authors' goal of passing these values down to future generations.
